When we arrived at the resort, Bernice and I were immediately met by Reynaldo and whisked away to meet Balvina our wedding co-ordinator. The check-in was already arranged and we were given an ocean view room in one of the bungalows. All in all we were treated like royality.
The resort itself is very well laid out. The lobby area is large and there is a nice breeze that blows through. The pools are salt water and very refreshing. There are 184 bungalow rooms, 110 standard rooms and 12 suites. The resort has recently changed it's name to that of the Gran Caribe Playa Blanca.
The resort has 3 restaurants, the Buffet Restaurant Olazul, the Snack Bar Opalino, and the Ranchon Velamar that is right on the beach.
